Privacy 2.0
New “Privacy” settings for team admins

Today we’ve launched a major improvement and simplification to our stat privacy settings. The goal of these changes is to give GameChanger team admins simple tools for controlling who can view critical stats and spray charts. In addition, fans of teams with private stats will now have the ability to request Admin approval to see a single player’s stats. Our hope is that Privacy 2.0 will make Admins feel confident enough about stat security that they openly share GameChanger with their fan community so everyone can enjoy live streaming play-by-play, real-time alerts and game recap stories.
Two Simple Settings
Admins choose between two privacy settings: Public and Approved Fans Only.
Public
All logged in, premium members of the team community can view all team stats. We recommend the Public setting for Admins who want to promote player accomplishments and enhance the experience of the team’s fan base.
Approved Fans Only
One click on the Privacy Settings page will give Admins full control over who can view season stats, expanded game stats, and spray charts.
If Privacy is set to “Approved Fans Only,” registered fans will have the opportunity to request approval to view an individual player’s stats and spray charts. Such a request will generate a pending approval for the Team Admin.
Fans may request to be identified as a specific player (“This is me”), a relative (I’m family), or simply an interested fan (Other).
Admins will be alerted of pending requests with a reminder on their GameChanger team home page. Approvals (or rejections) are executed within the new “Requests” link under the “Community” tab on their team site.
Note that Fans will not have “Approved Access” until an admin approves request. Admins will receive email notifications when a Fan requests approved access.
Two things that have not changed with Privacy 2.0:
1) Team admins can always view all team stat content regardless of the team’s privacy setting.
2) Some content cannot be made private by the Admin, including team schedules, streaming play-by-play, basic box score stats, and game recap stories.
