It Doesn’t Get Much Better Than This…

Short sleeves in February, a baseball-themed parade, gourmet burgers on the grill, a DJ blasting tunes, giddy young ballplayers sporting brand new uniforms, countless proud parents and no, not just one moon-bounce: four moon-bounces.
That sounds like a list of things that one might request after being given just one day to live. But last weekend it was standard “opening day” procedure for Rolling Hills Little League in Palos Verdes, CA.
I was honored to represent GameChanger at the festivities, invited by close friend and Fungo Media advisor, Dan Spring. Dan runs a fantastic baseball camp in Palos Verdes and is undoubtedly the “go-to” coach for many of the Rolling Hills players (it seemed like he knew each of the 400 kids by name). We introduced GameChanger to the league and got some good press from the local CBS affiliate.
I’ve attached a couple pictures from the parade — check out the homemade floats!
For much of my life, opening day of the baseball season was my favorite day of the year. Like the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving or Christmas, it only happened once but man, it was worth the wait.
So you can imagine how much fun I’m having this month, knowing that nearly every day several out of our 1000+ GameChanger teams are experiencing the thrill of a brand new uniform, new spikes and the first cheers of opening day.
Today the Lincoln College Lynx started their season with a double header in chilly Lincoln, IL. This weekend the Palm Desert Aztecs open up at home about 125 miles east of Los Angeles, California. And next weekend the Brighton Bengals kick-off their season in Salt Lake City.
Like all of our customer teams, the GameChanger team has been working hard to prepare for opening day and we hope that we’ll help make this a great season for coaches, scorekeepers, players and fans.
Play ball!
