GameChanger 2.3: Back In The Air
Scorekeeping application back on the App Store shelves
By Kiril Savino (@kirilnyc)
After that brief interruption, we now return you to your regularly scheduled Changing the Game.
We take quality very seriously, so we voluntarily recalled the GameChanger scorekeeping application last weekend, upon discovering an annoying flaw was accidentally released. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t yet have an option to just “go back a version,” so we’ve been off-line.
We actually submitted a repaired version of the application immediately upon discovering the issue, but we picked “iPad Week” to have our snafu, and so we had to wait a few days for Apple’s approval.
But we’re back! There’s not a lot to 2.3 that wasn’t in 2.2: it’s more stable, crashes less, syncs data more reliably, and works better offline. It still has its warts, and we’re hard at work on version 2.4 already, but we heartily recommend you upgrade (or download) and give it a spin.
To everyone who helped us test the 2.3 beta versions this week, many thanks. If you were affected and we weren’t able to squeeze you into our emergency plans this week, we’re sorry! We had a very limited ability to give out pre-release versions of 2.3, and they went to the most urgent cases.
-Kiril & the GameChanger team.
